Young Rural Ambassador Competition

Picture
Do you have a passion for your local Agricultural show?
Do you live in a regional community and are involved in your local town?
Do you have an idea or an issue in your local town or shire that you feel needs to be bought to attention?
Do you like to meet and interact with like-minded people?

If any of these appeal to you then we would love for you to come and be involved in our Rural Ambassador competitions.

The Rural Ambassador Award is a National Competition that highlights and celebrates young people who have a genuine interest in rural and regional Australia or New Zealand. The Award aims to provide an opportunity
for young people to promote rural communities and industries, as well as be involved in promoting the importance of agriculture and food production. The Award will identify and recognise the next generation of leaders who have a strong commitment to agricultural industries and an involvement and or a genuine interest for the Agricultural Show movement either at the Local, State or National level.

The only requirement for entry is a passion for agriculture and rural Australia, to be involved in your local Agricultural show and a desire to challenge yourself and have a good time.
So if this sounds like you, and you are between 20 and 30 years of age, please feel welcome to contact the President or any Committee Member of the Upper Blackwood Agricultural Society.  Or have a chat with Vice President Harris Thompson, who is the current Agricultural Shows Australia National Rural Ambassador. Talk to Harris about all things from entry requirements and the judging process through to the lifelong friendships and mentorships he has received through the program Australia wide.
