President's Welcome

t is a privilege and honour to be asked to lead our great committee towards this year's show. It has been an exciting year so far with new committee members bringing their enthusiasm and many skills, along with great ideas to take our show forward.
I would like to thank David Corker for the great job he has done over the last three years. Through difficult times he has lead and bought to reality our new ablution block which will be opened on show day.
I would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to all of you, both private individuals and businesses, who helped us achieve this outcome by your support and donations towards the costs of the ablutions block. Our aim in building the block was to
attract more use of the grounds during the year by other groups, bringing more visitors to our area and businesses, which has already come to fruition.
Another very valued long term committee member who has retired this year is Sue Emmerson. Sue
had been our treasurer for the last 10 years and we would like to sincerely thank her for her dedication
and service to our community. We hope you enjoy the show from the other side of the window.
Our show is a very special event for our community for it brings together all of us regardless of age, professions, physical abilities, or outlook. It is the one day in the year that we can catch up with people
we don’t see very often during the year, due to our busy lives.
I look forward to seeing you all at the show and hope you enjoy the new and exciting events we have planned.
